Washington County Tobacco Free Families
Who we are:
WCTFF has paired with Washington SAFE Coalition and is dedicated in working together to build a healthier Washington County. Our members share the desire to create tobacco free environment and support members of the community trying to end their tobacco use
What we do:
WCTFF actively seeks new membership from all walks of life and in each communities in Washington County. We are also commited to supporting community members' effort in quitting tobacco use by refering people to avaliable cessation services and providing information. We also provide information about Quitline Iowa to healthcare and insurance providers. As well as provide information about the benefits of a smokefree workplace to businesses. We also work along with Washington county Just Eliminate Lies (JEL) groups and to provide youth with information about Big Tobacco's deceptive nature. Lastly we connect with local legislators on a consistant basis about tobacco related policies and bills.
How to Get Involved:
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month at the Hamakua Place in Washington, IA 11:30am - 12:30pm.
